The entrance hall has three ghosts, a victorian gentleman, a soldier and a lady. Cold spots are felt here.
The courtrooms are where knocking sounds have been heard, and terrifying groans. Many people have seen black figures on the balcony. Orbs have been caught on cameras and camcorders.
The cell corridor has a lot of strange noises, including footsteps, doors slamming, and keys rattling.
The laundry room is a very active place, people have smelt strange odours, and the door at one time slammed open. Orbs have also been caught on cameras in this area.
Courtyard/Exercise area. There are bodies buried underneath this area, people have experienced strange smells, and the sensation of being strangled or choked. Dark figures have been seen, and orbs have been caught on camera.
The Caves and Chapel area is meant to be the most haunted part. A cross is sometimes thrown across the room. Noises and bangs are heard, and people have been touched; stones have also been thrown at people as if to say get out of here.
The Pits are a very
place to be, people have felt sick and had to leave the building. People have been touched, and footsteps have been heard. Dark shadows have been seen on many an occasion.
First Location - The Courtrooms
A few light anomalies were caught going past CJ while she was dressed as the judge. There were taps and bangs heard from the gallery area, and footsteps were heard behind the jury area.
Second Location - Laundry Area and Womens Cell
I could hear women and men screaming and shouting, Sara asked any of the other groups if they had made any loud noises and they all came back saying no. CJ put some of the clothes on and had them pulled off her shoulder, she was sat perfectly still and it was on camcorder at the time to verify this. A few light anomalies were caught on camera, but it was pretty quiet overall.
Third Location - Transportation and the Condemned Cell
While in transportation we all heard something heavy being dragged across the cell directly above us, we contacted the group that was there and they had not moved anything and were all sat on the floor. I didnt discover till i got home that there was an EVP on my recorder from the condemned cell, i know it wasnt any of the group as we were all away from it at the time.
Fourth Location - The Cells
I put my camera as a lock off in one of the cells, nothing was caught on the tape. We did a circle in another cell and apart from a few taps and noises not alot else happened. After we finished the vigil i went to get my camcorder and this is where i have to rely on other people to fill in the blank i have. I remember getting my camcorder and was just collapsing the tripod legs up, i called out for CJ to wait for me as she was just at the top of the stairs but i couldn't see her. I could only see a black outline where she was. I have no memory of getting up the steps and part way along the corridor, the next thing i remember is Vince taking my camcorder off me as i looked like i was about to drop it.
CJ put her hand on my shoulder and it felt like someone or something stepped back and out of me, i asked how i got up the stairs, and Vince told me i did it really slowly and was struggling to breathe as i did so. Lets hope i never experience anything like that again, because if i had been on my own then anything might have happened.
Fifth Location - The Caves and Chapel Area
A few noises like shuffling were heard, but apart from that it was really quiet. It was pitch black in there and you couldnt see if the shuffling was down to someone moving their feet or not, so we cannot rule out human error.
The galleries is a fantastic location and i have had different things happen to me and my group both times i have been. Would recommend it to anyone for an overnight investigation, or even just to go and visit in the daytime.
