Clitheroe Castle and Museum

Postby Angel!!! on Sun Sep 21, 2008 9:32 pm

Believed to have been built by Robert De'Lacy, finished sometime in the 1180's; it's Norman keep has been a familiar landmark for over 800 years.

The white lady has been seen on a number of occasions, nobody is really sure who she is or could be.

Spectral Family. Ghosts of a female, male and young child have been seen around the castle. It is thought they are members of the same family.

Maid. A forlorn figure, nobody knows who she is, but she is seen on a regular basis.

Soldier believed to date from the 1900's, is also said to haunt the castle and has been reported on many occasions.

As well as the above the following phenomena have been reported. Strange light anomalies, unaccountable odours, cold spots and inexplicable noises.

Love Angel!!!
May Woden and Freya walk with you always.

What you send forth is your karma, what others send you is theirs.
